At Being Human Yoga and Global Goods, we work with both youth and adults, meeting them where they are with compassion, consistency, and care. We believe in the power of showing up and being a light in the dark—offering support, encouragement, and real tools for healing. Whether through movement, creativity, education, or connection, we strive to make a meaningful difference by helping our clients build healthy, empowered lives—one step at a time.

Why We Do What We Do

At Being Human Yoga and Global Goods, we believe that mental health is foundational to human thriving. We understand that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and that true wellness involves the integration of mind, body, and spirit. Our mission is to walk alongside individuals—especially those in the CCS (Comprehensive Community Services) program—as they develop the tools, confidence, and resilience they need to lead meaningful, empowered lives.

We are passionate about humanizing mental health care, creating access to holistic and culturally inclusive services, and offering a supportive environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. By bridging evidence-based practices with creative and embodied healing methods, we strive to make the world a healthier, more connected place—one person at a time.

Evidence-Based & Holistic Approach

While our services are deeply human-centered and heart-led, they are also grounded in proven, evidence-based practices from the fields of psychology, wellness, and trauma-informed care:

  • Psychoeducation is a key component of many therapeutic models to increase client insight and outcomes.

  • Yoga and mindfulness are supported by extensive research for reducing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.

  • Sound healing and music therapy have been found to lower cortisol levels, improve mood, and support emotional processing.

  • Nature-based interventions are associated with decreased stress hormones and improved mental clarity and emotional regulation.

  • Expressive arts (art, movement, music, writing) help individuals access and process emotions non-verbally and are effective in trauma recovery.

  • Wellness management and lifestyle coaching support behavioral activation and sustainable health changes, linked to long-term mental health benefits.
